Please, no. Do not go with Gnome 3.x. At least not in plain version as delivered by Gnome. It has very poor usability. Either stay with Gnome 2.x for now, or go with MATE (continuation of Gnome 2.x) or go with Linux Mint Cinnamon.

Cleanly Gnome 3 is the worst option here.
