No I didn't have that.  I am running a recent version of Hipster.  I
see that symbol is used in java/Makefile to disable doclint.  I'm
doing a build now to see if that addition solves my problem.

I didn't have any of those things.  I wonder if they are all still
necessary.  Perhaps I'll find out when the build completes.
