I've provided an update to 5.12.4 instead of the Oracle patches to 5.123, although actually performed that build and tested it before rolling forward to 5.12.4 and stripping the patches. The relevant perldata shows the diff to be minimal, and I believe two of the three changes would otherwise be provided by the Oracle patches:<br>

Not sure if a separate package is available to manage the default links, but I believe igork had suggested something like that on developer@ at some point. If such a change has already been committed, it should have some mechanics that I'd like to use to split the defaults out of the gcc44-runtime package.<br>
