I suspect that Illumos creates security patches for any vulnerabilities; and since the releases for OI are spread out so far, and there aren't any patches released, I figured I would attempt to build OI for myself to get patches.<br><br>As a side note, in a previous post I had, some mentioned using OmniOS which I have looked at before. One thing about OmniOS support that struck me is that it seems to be the same price as buying support for Solaris from Oracle. Don't get me wrong, OmniOS may be fine and they do a good job, but if the price is the same, why wouldn't one get the original product? <br><br>Anyway, I appreciate your help and anyone else who can offer help on building OI and mitigating security
