I'm not sure what IO's policy is. But, given python2x went
EOL upstream.<br>
You could eliminate python/python27 from the list. Which,

packages that _depend_ on it, would make the list even

At least all our nodejs packages depend on python-27 (build
dependency). All newer python versions have problems with one tool
that is used during the build process.<br>
