I followed standard procedure suggested by Mark Johnson to install OI 147 as
PV DomU at Xen 4.0.1 Linux Dom0 (126.96.36.199 pvops ) , like i would work with
OSOL 134 ( BTW, OSOL 134 gets installed with no problem) .
Installation crashes right away
Procedure itself ( like for OSOL134) :-
mount -o loop,ro osol147.iso /mnt
cp /mnt/platform/i86pc/amd64/boot_archive /home/boris/solaris
cp /mnt/platform/i86xpv/kernel/amd64/unix /home/boris/solaris
name = "osol147"
vcpus = 1
memory = "1024"
kernel = "/home/boris/solaris/unix"
ramdisk = "/home/boris/solaris/boot_archive"
extra = "/platform/i86xpv/kernel/amd64/unix - nowin -B install_media=cdrom"
disk = ['file:/root/osol147.iso,xvdc:cdrom,r','phy:/dev/sdb5,xvda,w']
vif = ['bridge=br0']
on_shutdown = "destroy"
on_reboot = "destroy"
on_crash = "destroy"
"xm create -c osol.install" should bring to login prompt for "jack" ( OSOL134)
However, install detects Xen env 4.0.1 ( kernel seems to be xenified)
and immediately drops to prompt for maintenance or CTRL+D to escape.
This shows that boot_archive (OI 147) doesn't contain xen frontend drivers ( my guess)
and (or) something else is going wrong. I still guess boot_archive ( like initrd.gz on Linux) is not xenified on OI 147.
If you can speak to Mark, resolving issue would not take long. He was responsible
for OSOL at Linux Dom0 installs in better times.

Could you clarify what you mean?
We're running oi_147 successfully in our xVM dom0 environment. However these were hosts upgraded from snv_134.
