OpenJDK 7 and 8 are available in the SFE repository but icedtead-web (the firefox plugin) is missing.
All BSD and most of Linux distros are icedtea-web/openjdk java powered.

gnash (flash replacement working and crashing sometimes under open/free/netBSD) is a not so bad player for flash but probably very hard to
compile.
