Yes, of course I know of many LDAP servers, and OpenLDAP is one of such
programs - and like many others, a descendant of Netscape LDAP server.
A C program in my question requires its API to be an LDAP client to
any server I choose, so the Java implementations (nor Sun stock LDAP
libraries) don't help me, alas.
