Seems like this the config that fits budget well:
HP StorageWorks MSA50 (50-100 + delivery + trays) ~150$
SFF-8088 cable: 15$
LSI SAS3801E: from 30$, but lets not be too cheap and find something 
descent for 70$
1TB hdd 7200, x10: 65$x10=650
-------
Total:  < 900$

The only question if msa50 works with non-"enterprise" drives.
Saw few reports people tested hp array with consumer disk and it was 
working fine.
Anybody here using HP disk arrays?
