I agree with the sentiment, but Oracle has such an aggressive timeline
for retiring Java 7 support that I think many organizations are realizing
that they need to start testing and evaluating Java 8 ASAP if they're
going to be able to support their products and applications on it by
the time Java 7 is EOL.
