Issue #1706 has been reported by Michael Kielhauser.

----------------------------------------
Bug #1706: Error thrown by package manager when trying to add smf package
https://www.illumos.org/issues/1706

Author: Michael Kielhauser
Status: New
Priority: Low
Assignee: OI PKG
Category: pkg (Image Packaging System)
Target version: oi_151_stable
Difficulty:
Tags: needs-triage

I was trying to add the smf package and it seemed to complete but the package was not installed. On subsequent tries it was listed as "not installed" but when I tried to add it again the message was "nothing to install/update" finally followed by this:
(...)
Error details:
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/lib/python2.6/vendor-packages/pkg/gui/installupdate.py", line 588, in __on_cancelcreateplan_clicked
    if self.api_o.can_be_canceled() and self.operations_done_ex == False:
AttributeError: 'InstallUpdate' object has no attribute 'api_o'

With a request to report it which I have done :-)

So far package manager has performed flawless and this is the first time. OpenIndiana rauns within VirtualBox 4.1.4 w/ latest guest additions and a proxy is required to access the internet thus I use the attached script to start package manager from the command line.
I am happy to provide more details should you need them.
