Feature #4354: Update Caiman to offer split-root installations as an option

As described in http://wiki.openindiana.org/oi/Advanced+-+Split-root+installation and tracked in issue #829, it is possible to install OI into a hierarchy of separate datasets comprising a BE's rootfs, in order to set compression, reservations and other optional attributes - this can be importand to minimize the IOPS and the footprint of the installation for space-constrained storage (SSDs) and redistributable VM images. It is also possible to split-out the shared datasets for mail and log data, for example, including their storage on separate pools, which allows to minimize the wear on Flash-based roots (SSH, CF, USB-key), and to keep the monotonous history of logs and mails when switching back and forth between boot environments.

While the wiki article details the steps needed for such installations, at the moment they remain a manual procedure. It would be great to implement the missing pieces in the distro, including the Caiman installer, to support such installations out of the box, and ultimately provide such an option during the installation (along with options to use an existing rpool, see #4353).
