After installing b148-text the nwamd manual states:

"A static IP address can be configured by changing the line in /etc/nwam/llp file that contains an interface name and the name of the method for obtaining an IP address...
...An optional static IPv6 address can be provided on the same line, immediately after the ipv6 token. Whether you provide a static address or not, IPv6 will use DHCPv6 or stateless address configuration, as directed by the local network configuration."

My local network runs stateless. Note that nwamd configures a stateless address just fine on this machine and I can ping/traceroute public addresses, etc, but the static address stated in /etc/nwam/llp is not listed by ipadm or ifconfig in addition to the stateless address. Also this machine has another unconfigured wired network adapter, if it matters.

/etc/nwam/llp:
e1000g1 ipv6 <static-ipv6-address>
