"/usr/bin/chmod" command-line help shows that an attribute flag "offline" can be set. However, this key word is absent from the "chmod(1)" man page dated "Last change: Dec 11, 2008".

Maybe some other changes in "chmod" functionality exist that are also not reflected in the manpage?..
