Hi,
this problem persist long time (since first OpenSolaris installation).
Hardware: Dell Vostro 400 (currently running latest /hipster OI) from Sep 25 2013.
>From "prtconf -d" output (attached):
<pre>
pci1028,23d (pciex8086,10c0) [Intel Corporation 82562V-2 10/100 Network Connection], instance #0
</pre>
and (result of "dladm show-linkprop e1000g0" attached)
<pre>
$ dladm show-phys
LINK MEDIA STATE SPEED DUPLEX DEVICE
e1000g0 Ethernet up 100 full e1000g0
vboxnet0 Ethernet up 1000 full vboxnet0
</pre>
So we see that speed is 100MB full. I have tried to tweak "/kernel/drv/e1000g.conf" (attached), but no success.
Most funniest thing is that my VB guest sees interface properly and brings 1GB network (CentOS 6 x86_64):
<pre>
e1000 0000:00:03.0: eth0: (PCI:33MHz:32-bit) 08:00:27:27:27:27
e1000 0000:00:03.0: eth0: Intel(R) PRO/1000 Network Connection
...
e1000: eth0 NIC Link is Up 1000 Mbps Full Duplex, Flow Control: RX
e1000: eth0 changing MTU from 1500 to 1496
e1000: eth0 NIC Link is Up 1000 Mbps Full Duplex, Flow Control: RX
</pre>
What i have to do to get 1GB network on OI working?
I have found this OLD ticket, but i am not sure if it is related: https://www.illumos.org/issues/1669
Thanks and best regards.
