Hi Guys,
   I am experiencing the same issue reported at 
https://github.com/joyent/illumos-kvm/issues/1.

It seems that richlowe(bottom of page) has posted a solution to that problem. 
 
I was going to try and compile KVM/OI by myself but quickly found I lacked the right tools/experience to do so.
