[OpenIndiana-New-developers] Testing first time build

I appear to have successfully built illumos-gate on oi151a8 and would like to test it, but don't want to wipe out the build system.  Unfortunately the wiki description of what the onu script does is less than detailed and google didn't point to anything better.

Would someone knowledgeable about this mind editing the wiki to provide a bit more detail?  Does it create a new BE?  Are there any gotchas?

I'm particularly interested in working on the sd.conf vid/pid parsing to make it follow shell wildcard rules, but also want to look into the failure to set un_phy_blocksize correctly for my Toshiba USB disk. So first objective is to get the sd debug information.
