[oi-dev] Popular Software list

The thinking behind the contact was originally for requested apps, to help
gather support to get that package done. Often someone can help/test but
can't commit to doing it all themselves, that field was intended for people
to note themselves down as a possible helper. Maybe not useful?

Might be worth splitting into two tables/pages, one as a known working and
split the wanted/not working into a separate table?

Votes field makes a lot of sense Garrent, added.

Useful suggestions, thanks J

All thoughts gratefully received.

Deano

I also think it would be a good idea for us to collect a list of
software that we still want or have to use another computer for.

For example, I use Ubuntu to get at Skype, Chrome, and GNUcash. (The
last of these is because I have no time to figure out how to build it
for Solaris/illumos.) Given a list, and a "votes" column, it might help
folks decide what they should put their packaging efforts on.

Just an idea....

Hi!
I've added pgadmin3 and vlc, and have a question about "Contact". Is this
the contact of who proposes the package, or the contact for the package
itself?
If it's the second, the contacts are in the source tree...
Thanks, and best regards,
