This might be the hang in multi-threaded dump that both bmc and danmcd
have seen.

Try setting dump_plat_mincpu=0 (with /etc/system, or the like) prior
to causing the NMI.  This is just a guess though.

The dump magic is 0 because the dump header written _after_ the dump
is the one savecore cares about, and in this case you've (probably)
hung before writing it.
