Tested under VirtualBox - quite good so far. 

I didn't see the pop-up myself; the live image only lacked a few icons, but worked OK. 

The installation proceeded flawlessly, the first reboot did not get me to the desktop - I suspect because of the Desktop effects - but subsequently was OK. VBox Additions installed also. 

The only problem I see so far is packagemanager crashing with:
