Hi,
Besides installing from FTP contributed Mozilla site (Ginn Chen/Oracle
contribute this), in , like, /opt/sfw/lib/thunderbird or something, of
Firefox 21 or 22
(where 22 does not have HTML5 audio working on Sunos
-Openindiana/Solaris11 and HTML5 works with --enable-pulseaudio on S11,
but pulseaudio still needs packaging for Openindiana
and Ginn have a patch for FF 23 for Sun Audio)
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=876327 ,
There is updated one in Hipster rolling release packages
(pkg.openindiana.org/hipster) to 10.0.12 ESR Firefox that can be updated
to from last /dev you have installed
(keep that /dev Boot environment for reference and testing update to a8).
Problems in Hipster currently include flash player crashing on youtube
(works on 151a7).
To compile Firefox, one needs aether patched Solaris Studio 2010/08/13
or one past 12.3 (requires support contract with Oracle) or using GCC.
(Ginn is using Studio).
If you are interested, we can connect and work together in learning how
to build, send and recieve patches, publish in IPS etc.
