Congrats on your first merged commit!  :-)

They get easier, especially the more familiar and comfortable you get
with git.  I still run into issues once in a while, especially with
places where the merge workflow is different (trying to contribute patches
upstream to projects that are on gitlab has been a learning experience),
but every one gets a little easier.
