[OpenIndiana-discuss] The name: "OpenIndiana" (part II)

Hello,

Jesus, nice hint, Polaris sounds very nice as a brand, but I am afraid
the patent office wont let us make a trademark for an OS with that
name, as there is only 1 letter difference... that will be acceptable
if we choose different classes of goods to be named with it, we could
name whatever else... but not software.

I have been sketching, and I will suggest 2 options, both
"openindiana" and "indiana OS".

"Indiana OS" could be the trade name for the actual product,
"openindiana" could be the community?

I like as well other variations such as "Indiana CORE". That will work
if we intend this distro to be the mother-ship distro, and we intend
others to derive from it.

As long as Indiana is not written alone, there are not many chances
for overlapping with other things at the search engines, we should
anyway register the name in google so it give priority to the search,
and so on.

Seat Toledo sells nicely, even if there are 2 cities with that name.
