[OpenIndiana-discuss] Some Observations before upgrade to

I started looking into the possibility for upgrading.  I have some 
questions.


I use Pro-Engineer, a program that required some Motif libraries.  How 
does this fit?

Another Pro-Engineer question, is if I do a fresh install, will I be 
able to install Oracles b134 verion of the libraries?

Looking at Nvidias driver, it's not updated.  I take it you cannot 
redistribute the current driver, also as IPS based.  Maybe you need to 
post instructions for upgrading from Nvidias "packaged" (sysv5?) 
version.  I haven't yet upgraded to Nvidias lated for fear of having to 
roll back a BE then loosing some other changes made after that.  It 
feels like a standstill, unless Openindiana will never publish an IPS 
version.  Comments?



So far it looks exciting.  And yes, one final question (the 
un-ask-able).  If I decide to go to Solaris 11 Express, will I be able 
to upgrade to that?
