I believe that ATA is what you want. I never heard of IRRT before. It would appear to be rather Windows specific. I Don't think that selecting ATA will adversely affect Windows, but some registry fiddle might be needed. I'm quite certain that there's a setting that will accommodate both, but I'm utterly incompetent in Windows world, so I can't say how to do it.
FWIW I bought an HP Z400 which came w/ Windows 7 installed. Worked great w/ Windows, but could not even see the disks when I booted S10/OI until I changed the BIOS setting for the disks.
