[OpenIndiana-discuss] SFE repo 'git' package triggers 'This version is excluded by installed incorporation"

Hi Jason,

It's been decided that when an oi-sfe package provides a newer version
of a package that OI core provides, the oi-sfe package name will be
prefixed with sfe.openindiana.org and will install in /usr/gnu.

So, you should be able to install SFE git by doing

pkg install sfe.openindiana.org/developer/versioning/git

and run it by typing

/usr/gnu/bin/git

Your desire for nagios-nrpe and nagios-plugin has been noted.

Alex
