It's the 82574L that's supported now.  It shows up in `scanpci' as:

    pci bus 0x0003 cardnum 0x00 function 0x00: vendor 0x8086 device 0x10d3
     Intel Corporation 82574L Gigabit Network Connection

The 82579LM shows up as:

    pci bus 0x0000 cardnum 0x19 function 0x00: vendor 0x8086 device 0x1502
     Intel Corporation Device unknown

but has no driver.  I understand that it is supported in recent builds
of Openindiana.
