[OpenIndiana-discuss] ATI Radeon HD 5000 (Evergreen) & Cypress GPU testing

Hello,

These ATI Radeon HD 5*** (i.e. EverGreen GPU-compatible) cards and Cypress GPUs will basically work with OI_148 as 2D video graphic adapters. I've created a xorg.conf file for testing the Xorg Radeon 6.13.1 driver, but you can mainly use the VESA driver for immediate basic 2D functionality.

Note: 
1. These graphic cards currently work with Xserver 1.7.7 on OI_148
with the VESA 2D driver.

2. Users may experience a 'blacked out' screen during boot with certain configurations if using the default Xorg Radeon 6.13.x drivers. Work in Progress for overall fix - but use the default VESA driver as an immediate workaround until certain fixes are confirmed.
