[OpenIndiana-discuss] Cannot get static IP network setup to work

I am talking about local GUI, not remote web-based administration. There 
are some useful admin tools in Gnome like network setup and start/stop 
services. "System | Administration | Network" and "System | 
Administration | Services" - just two examples.
