Hitachi deskstar 7k3000 0f12115 disks were recommended by Mark (?) about a month ago when the topic was on port expanders.

Here's what he wrote:

When I asked about specific hitachi disk models, he indicated the 7k3000 0f12115 seemed to work well. I haven't had a chance to try them out yet, but I plan to.
