[OpenIndiana-discuss] Mouse goes missing

I have tried to google this but only find the different meaning for KVM :-)
Due to the large number of machines at my desk I have only one keyboard, mouse and screen and the machines connect via a KVM switch (ATEN Petite CS-64U KVM / audio / USB switch - 4 ports - USB).
The Windows 7, Fedora 16 and Ubuntu machines all behave fine but The OpenIndiana one seems to regularly lose the mouse.
I can alt - tab through the applications running but the mouse remains resolutely dead.

Now it occasionally will come back but can anyone think of a way from an ssh connection to "reset/redetect" the mouse?
