Check for small things like USB-3.0 detection in BIOS and video.

Subject: [OpenIndiana-discuss] oi151a7 live DVD Grub problems with Dell Precision T3600

Hi,
booting a (in older hosts working) OI 151a7 live CD, regardless
what mode, fails while uncompressing the boot archive with
grub:

(some messages about kernel/module which seem to show
the correct locations)
bad or corrupt data while decompressing file

This occurs also for Solaris 11 (10-2011), Osol 2009.06,
OI 151a livecd. Is there maybe a problem how grub was compiled
on that CD ? The Dell T3600 has a E5-1650 Xeon processor (see my
previous thread <http://openindiana.org/pipermail/openindiana-discuss/2012-October/010045.html> where I concluded from that this processor
would be no problem for OI).
I tried to boot both the 32 and 64 bit kernel/boot_archive,
same problem, stalls at the 10th or 11th dot (the uncompressing
stage). No usable error message. Is there some compile option
that does not work on that processor ?
