Yes.  Works fine.

The disk backplane is connected to the motherboard via a standard
SFF-8087 connector.

There are reports of successful configs using 8GB Samsung modules,
giving a total of 16 GB ECC RAM.  Haven't tried it myself yet.

3TB Hitachi disks work fine.  The disks clock down to 3Gbit SATA2,
of course.
