Peter, Thank you very much for your suggestions.
I agree that outsourcing this would be the most ideal option. There are a number of internet radio service provider options available, and your suggestion about Wavestream certainly looks good.
I'd also heard people talking about Node.JS on this list, but I never knew what it was. Sometimes when I don't know what you all are talking about, I'll look it up just in case it might be useful for me to know about. I hadn't done that with Node.JS, so that was useful information, too.
I'm mostly just wondering if we are overlooking a really obvious solution? Sometimes, we -- people in general, including professionals -- get a couple of ideas in our head, and then we put on blinders, or get tunnel vision, or something, and at times we overlook the obvious. I would just rather not have that happen with this project.
And of course, if there are any "canned" software solutions available that any of you know of -- open source or commercial -- especially that would run on OI and not require on-going service charges, we'd greatly appreciate knowing about them. We generally prefer spending money up front, rather than monthly service charges.
