[OpenIndiana-discuss] oi151a8 vs firefox audio (also flash)

Greetings,

Related to an earlier discussion, I've upgraded my home system (32-bit)
from oi151a7 to oi151a8, and am experiencing the flash player crash in
firefox that others have mentioned (firefox v22 from mozilla/contrib/,
and also v10.0.12ESR that comes in oi151a8).

This mostly affects YouTube videos, which of course are very common,
but I've also noticed that using the HTML5 version of YouTube helps
with some videos. However, I'm getting no audio when firefox plays
these HTML5 video streams (this used to work with oi151a7).

I do have a couple flash-to-html5 extensions that I'm trying:
	http://mozilla.github.io/shumway/
	https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/youtube-flash-to-HTML5/

The 2nd one works pretty well, but it also fails to play audio in oi151a8,
while the audio works just fine under oi151a7.

And yes, audio works in oi151a8 using apps other than firefox (audioplay,
rhythmbox).

Anyone else had firefox/audio problems with oi151a8?

Regards,

Marion
