Thanks for the help and configure flags... 
Oh, and the build pkgs... as it turns out I have those you mention
installed. 

One question; what do you do if you need a specific module that is not
in your pkged perl.

Do you rebuild perl, add it, then repackage for solaris, or do you add
it to the running perl somehow? 

Are there other folks using your perl pkgs?
