yeah, actually just checked and mine core dumps too, if I'm any user with
the ability to change/refresh packages:
root at jadlaptop:~# packagemanager
** Message: pygobject_register_sinkfunc is deprecated (GtkWindow)
** Message: pygobject_register_sinkfunc is deprecated (GtkInvisible)
** Message: pygobject_register_sinkfunc is deprecated (GtkObject)
Invalid category name [Graphics] for package image/editor/imagemagick
Invalid category name [Graphics] for package image/library/g++/imagemagick
Segmentation Fault (core dumped)
root at jadlaptop:~# ls core
core
root at jadlaptop:~# file core
core: ELF 32-bit LSB core file 80386 Version 1, from 'packagemanager'
strangely it appears to work as my local user, without pfexec (obviouly
without the ability to install packages):
jadams at jadlaptop:~$ packagemanager
** Message: pygobject_register_sinkfunc is deprecated (GtkWindow)
** Message: pygobject_register_sinkfunc is deprecated (GtkInvisible)
** Message: pygobject_register_sinkfunc is deprecated (GtkObject)
WARNING: packagemanager
Unable to setup log:
[Errno 13] Permission denied: '/var/tmp/packagemanager_info.log'
All info messages will be logged to stdout
[Errno 13] Permission denied: '/var/tmp/packagemanager_error.log'
All errors and warnings will be logged to stderr
I've been doing all my package commands from the prompt for a long time
now, so I didn't notice it either.
