This shouldn't hurt to try, but IMHO the standard storage device nodes
(whole disks, partitions and slices in /dev/{r,}dsk/) are inspected by
ZFS. The "-d" flag is really needed when you use other devices to back
the pools, such as /dev/lofi/* or /dev/zvol/{r,}dsk - whose nodes are
not in the default search path.
