while I'm generally of the same opinion - one of the reasons trainees hate me for insisting on VI in classes. :-)

I do make exceptions, though, where the overhead is small. In this case, we're talking about self contained Korn scripts. And being able to completely script creation and initialization of, say, 12 zones for a three day class is just too promising.
