Ok, I was able to bring the time-slider service back online again:

$ pkg uninstall pkg:/desktop/time-slider

$ pkg install pkg:/desktop/time-slider

$ svcadm restart dbus

$ svcadm clear svc:/application/time-slider:default


That fixed it. I'm not sure why I had to reinstall the package. I already restarted dbus before without success.

There seems to be an issue with the time-slider package.
