What I meant is that the Gateway on line three says 192.168.0.4, and that is also the IP address of the nic.

Yeah, I've actually thought about that, except at least now I have something that at least partially works! But I think I'm going to have to ask them to do that, and eliminate that "extra" router -- as you are right, the modem appears to also act as a router.
