Well, after a short break, during Vespers, it occurred to me that I have all those auto-snapshots.  I don't need to make up a test case.  I failed miserably at getting a Ruby-on-Rails project to run in another zone today.  So, I rolled that zone back to yesterday, like you two said, and now it's just like I didn't even touch it today.
