I perfectly agree with Saso.
The N40L we have in the University is a great little machine. Cheap, useful and just plain nice to work with.
Unless you need or want powerful CPUs, the Microservers are the way to go, and way cheaper.

That huge box is likely to cost you in electricity per year what its
purchasing price is on ebay. In your place, I'd rather spend half of
that $600 on an HP Microserver N54L. Don't underestimate what
Microserver can do either. Those things are capable of taking up to 16GB
of ECC DRAM & easily saturating 1 gig Ethernet when operating as a file
server.
