Check your grub menu entries. Perhaps one of them has the wrong path.

# grep unix /rpool/boot/grub/menu.conf

You should get "kernel = /platform/i86pc/kernel/$ISADIR/unix" ($ISADIR 
would make the real path /platform/i86pc/kernel/amd64/unix)
