Same behavior, new TB have spellcheck finally working (haven't tried 
with others except English ATM),
FF still does not have it.
Explanation got form Alp i that "now it works" :)

Firefox does not have spellcheck working (was the same before FF 43 code 
drop)
Also, I realized I can't enable extension if I click "restart". FF needs 
to enable/disable extension and then exit and start again for extension 
to work/disable.
