I was trying to add the smf package and it seemed to complete but the package was not installed. On subsequent tries it was listed as "not installed" but when I tried to add it again the message was "nothing to install/update" finally followed by this:

With a request to report it which I have done :-)
So far package manager has performed flawless and this is the first time. OpenIndiana rauns within VirtualBox 4.1.4 w/ latest guest additions and a proxy is required to access the internet thus I use the attached script to start package manager from the command line.
I am happy to provide more details should you need them.
