I noted the same behavior in Solaris 11 builds so this is not OI-specific. Updates to hipster/pkg5 12-10-13 release was done with rebuilt index. I closed this ticket based on non-OI-specific, new pkg5 update, and non-critical issue for system/library.

pkg fix reports an Elfhash mismatch against lib/libc.so.1 but as this is mounted against a hwcap it is unlikely ever to work.
