I seem to be having problems with cdrecord, must admit don't use the cd much but wanted to erase and burn some cdrw, namely oi_151.1.7!

This is running on a7...

It seems to have a number of problems and sort of hangs the system until it finishes.
For example, if I cdrecord blank=all, I can't successfully open a new terminal session and firefox blocks. If I record with cdrecord -v -dao xxxx.iso, I'll get a number of read errors
and the disk will be unreadable even on a different system.

Here is an extract from /var/adm/messages...

tried cdrw, and it seems to work allright, hence my concern about cdrecord.
Anybody else have any issues, running on 32-bit for these tests.
