The ffplay command from the ffmpeg 4.4.1 package works fine for me,
on my OpenIndiana hipster system.

The VLC package is also an option and VLC also works, there is an upcoming 3.0.18 which is going to be released, but for the moment I have submitted an update to 3.0.17.4.

As soon as 3.0.18 is released I can create a new PR to update to VLC 3.0.18.
