I think the test target only calls the code to run 'diff' when using GNU autoconf configure style Makefiles.
That is not the case for Squeak VM; which unfortunately also requires a little user input,
you have to type in your code initials when running the Squeak VM classical VM tests after running 'gmake test'.
In OpenSmalltalk 'gmake test' is fully automatic and requires no interactive input, but still,
there is a significant risk I think that the Smalltalk environment requires some interactive input,
when running thousands of tests.
But if the tests are not automatically ran on the build server then it's not a problem.
